How To Open A Twitter Account


Below are easy-to-follow instructions on how to open a Twitter account. If you want printable instructions, please download the text file below. Please note that it does not include any screenshots, just text.


Printable Instructions


  1. Click here to open a new Twitter account

  2. Type your first and last name, select a username and password, your email address, signup for the Twitter newsletter, and type in the words as shown. Please be sure to write down your username and password and keep it in a secure place. Click "Create my account".

  3. See if your friends are on Twitter. Follow the instructions to find your friends or click on "Skip this step" at the bottom of the page.

  4. Look who else is here. Start following them! There are preselected people within the frameset. You can either keep them, or uncheck the ones you do not want to follow. click on "Finish" or "Skip this step".

  5. That's it!! Your Twitter account is all set up.

If I am installing your Twitter layout, you will be required to give me your username and password. I will need this to install and test your new design. You can always change your password after I have finished your project.
